Personal support worker program at Clarkridge has been designed to provide enough knowledge and skills to the students to become competent and caring for their clients with compassionate while adhering to the required legislation. This program prepares you to assist elderly clients, individuals with disabilities, caring patients suffering with long term illness. Personal support worker works in multiple settings such as long term care facility, Hospital, community, and retirement care homes. Personal Support workers collaborate with other health care team members and patient’s family to achieve positive health outcomes.

Requirements

Clarkridge Career Institute aims at providing a variety of programs to the students from Canada and across the world at both the campuses in Toronto and Brampton. Applicants must meet all the requirements below in order to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria.

Requirements

✔️Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or

✔️Equivalent: Foreign credentials must be translated in English and assessed for Grade 12 equivalency by a recognized organization, or

✔️ Mature student with a score of 11 or more on the Wonderlic SLE (or other MCU approved test) Note: CAT and CAST no longer approved.

And

✔️NACC Technical Literacy Exam (passing score of 18), or

✔️IELTS – Int’l English Language Testing Services – Minimum score of 6.0 with no subject test score lower than 5.5; or

✔️ TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet based test (IBT) – Over 80 with the minimum of each component: Reading 20; Listening 20; Speaking 20; Writing 20.
