Personal support worker program at Clarkridge has been designed to provide enough knowledge and skills to the students to become competent and caring for their clients with compassionate while adhering to the required legislation. This program prepares you to assist elderly clients, individuals with disabilities, caring patients suffering with long term illness. Personal support worker works in multiple settings such as long term care facility, Hospital, community, and retirement care homes. Personal Support workers collaborate with other health care team members and patient’s family to achieve positive health outcomes.

Requirements

Clarkridge Career Institute aims at providing a variety of programs to the students from Canada and across the world at both the campuses in Toronto and Brampton. Applicants must meet all the requirements below in order to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria.

Admission selection is based on the following two requirements:

Academic Requirements: In order to meet minimum program eligibility, you must possess the following:

✔️ Grade 12 (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) or equivalent; or be at least 18 years of age or older and pass an entry test.

✔️ English proficiency requirement for international students.

IELTS (MIN IELTS SCORE -OVERALL 5.5 AND NO BAND BELOW 5.0) or

PTE (MIN PTE SCORE- 43-50) or

TOEFL (MIN TOEFL SCORE- 525 FOR PAPER BASED TEST AND 80{20W 20R 20L 20S} FOR INTERNET          BASED TEST) or

CAMBRIDGE TEST (Cambridge (FCE/CAE/CPE) 160 (with no single test score below 149))

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

✔️Medical certificate (includes TB test, immunization status especially Hepatitis B vaccination is strongly recommended)

✔️Police Reference Check including Vulnerable Sector check

✔️Standard First Aid & CPR Level C Certification (provided by the Institute)

✔️All students must pass the NACC Technical Literacy exam prior to admission into the program*

*The test is conducted by the Institute prior to admission.

Fees of PSW (Full-Time)

The 2020-2021 fee for two semesters is:
