Frequently Asked Questions

  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of an Ontario Grade 10 literacy level or equivalent.
  • Must hold a valid G class License.
  • Must pass a Ministry of Transportation Driver's Medical and Visual Examination and obtain a classified license learner's permit (written knowledge test for rules of road and signs).
  • Complete a mandatory entry-level training course that is offered by Clarkridge Career Institute.
  • Pass a road test using a vehicle that meets the requirements for a full class A.

This takes 5-6 weeks for proper training. Each of the training components will ensure that you know how to operate a large vehicle correctly and safely.

You can get the medical done by your family doctor or a walk-in clinic.

The AZ Training Program is offered at the Brampton campus and the yard is in Brampton city.
