Course Descriptions:
Adult Health Assessment Workshop educatesindividuals on how to obtain accurate health history and conduct physical examinations on adults. The workshop also contains a laboratory component that will allow the participants to put their practical nursing skills to the test.
Prerequisites:
RN/RPN and IEN (International Educated Nurses)
Learning Outcomes:
The learner will be able to:

- Perform physicals assessments using a systematic approach.
- Perform focused and comprehensive head to toe assessment on clients.
- Assess the client using inspection, palpation, and auscultation as appropriate.
- Enhance their knowledge as a licensed practical nurse.
- Increase their understanding of normal and abnormal physical findings.
- A laboratory component is included in the course that allows the learners to practice newly acquired nursing skills.
