Course Description:

A 5-hour workshop where participants will learn the skill needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies for adults, children, and infants (CPR) for one and two rescuers and other topics such as choking, airway and breathing emergencies as well as AED.

Pre-requisites: RN, RPN or PSW

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the workshop, participant will be able to:

  2. Emergency Medical Services and Scene Management
  3. Cardiovascular Emergencies
  4. Adult/Child/Baby CPR – one rescuer
  5. Adult/Child/Baby choking
  6. Barrier devices/pocket masks
  7. Jaw Thrust
  8. Rescue breathing
  9. Adult/Child/Baby – 2-rescuer CPR
  10. AED
  11. Rescue breathing – adult, child and baby
  12. BVM – adult, child and baby
  13. Two rescuer CPR – adult, child and baby
